Editor's intro: one blazer, ten genuinely different outfits — not ten photos of the same outfit with different bags. Each look below changes the blazer's job: structure over satin, polish over denim, a belted silhouette, a travel pocket system, a coat stand-in. Written for a navy single-breasted blazer from the Capsule Wardrobe, and every pairing uses pieces from that same 24-piece system.
Everyday · The original
With Jeans & a White Tee
The look that built the blazer's reputation: navy blazer, white tee tucked in, dark straight jeans, loafers or white sneakers. The tee must be tucked — untucked, the proportions collapse. Roll the blazer cuffs once to show the tee's sleeve line and it looks styled, not assembled.

Evening · Texture contrast
Over a Slip Dress
Satin slip dress, blazer worn open and slightly oversized over it, heeled sandals or pumps. The tailoring reins in the slip's softness — that tension is the whole outfit. Belt the blazer closed for dinner, open it for drinks; two looks, one garment.

Work · Sharp silhouette
Belted Over Wide-Leg Trousers
Blazer buttoned and belted at the waist over black wide-leg trousers, loafers, tote. The belt (leather, 3 cm, gold buckle) creates the waist the oversized cut hides. This is the boardroom version — it photographs like a suit but wears like separates.

Summer · City shorts suit
With Tailored Shorts
Knee-length tailored shorts in black or stone, white tee, blazer, loafers with no socks. The shorts must be trouser-fabric, never denim, or it reads as a costume. A summer-evening look for cities — add the camisole instead of the tee to dress it up.

Evening · Minimal
Monochrome: Black on Black
Take the blazer in black (or wear the navy so dark it reads black at night): black turtleneck or tee, black trousers, black boots. One texture change is mandatory — matte knit against crepe trousers against leather boots — or monochrome flattens into a caterer's uniform.

Fall · Desk to dinner
With a Midi Skirt & Boots
Navy midi skirt, fine-knit top tucked in, blazer, ankle boots. The skirt's movement against the blazer's structure is the appeal. Keep the top layer thin — a chunky knit under a blazer over a skirt is three volumes fighting.
Mid tier
Weekend · High-low mix
Over a Hoodie, Weekends
Grey or white hoodie under the blazer, dark jeans, white sneakers. The hood sits outside the blazer's collar — tuck it in and the look dies. This is high-low styling at its most reliable, and it only works if the blazer is clean and the hoodie is plain.

Party · After dark
As a Dress with a Mini Underneath
Blazer buttoned over a short slip or mini dress so the blazer reads as the dress, hem skimming below its edge, heels or boots. Leave a hand's width of dress visible at the hem. Secure the blazer's button with a hidden safety pin at the waist if you plan to sit down at any point — plan to sit down.
Mid tier
Travel · One-layer system
Travel: Over Knitwear, Pockets Out
Blazer over the black turtleneck, wide-leg trousers, loafers, tote. On travel days the blazer is luggage: passport in the inside pocket, phone in the right, card case in the left. Choose the wool-blend blazer — pure linen arrives looking like it lost the flight.
Mid tier
Fall · Layered warmth
Over a Knit Dress, Coat Alternative
A fine-knit midi dress, blazer over it, boots, the capsule's tote — warmer than it looks because the knit dress is a full base layer. In deep fall, add the camel coat over the blazer and the three layers still sit flat, because each one is fine, not bulky.

Questions
Which blazer colour works hardest?
Navy, for most wardrobes: it pairs with black (yes, really — the insider combination), grey, camel, white and denim. Black is second; it is sharper but shows lint and fades unevenly. This collection is written for a navy single-breasted blazer.
How should a capsule blazer fit?
Hip-length, single-breasted, with room to close over a fine knit but not a chunky one. Sleeves should end at the wrist bone so you can push them up — pushed sleeves are half the looks in this collection.
Can I do these with an oversized blazer?
Mostly yes: the belted, hoodie, slip-dress and mini-dress looks improve oversized. The monochrome and travel looks want the cleaner, regular fit — oversized plus all-black tips into shapeless.
